Sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 pkg fast rising&nbsp; yeast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix these and let them set while yeast wakes up and gets frothy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 cup water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 cup milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2\/3 cup butter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1\/4 cup sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 1\/2 t. salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix these in saucepan and heat until butter is melted.&nbsp; You want this to be very warm but not scalding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5 1\/2 cups flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In big bowl put flour then pour in milk mixture from saucepan, then add yeast mixture.&nbsp; Stir until it gets thick enough to work&nbsp; by hand then knead in about additional 1\/4 cup flour until you have a nice texture.&nbsp; Don&#8217;t add too much flour as it will make your bread tough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour out on a floured board and knead for about 10 minutes.&nbsp; The dough should have a very soft and smooth texture.&nbsp; Grease a large bowl and roll the dough around in it then cover with a piece of greased wax paper and a towel.&nbsp; Let rise until doubled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once doubled, punch it down and halve it.&nbsp; Form loaves or rolls and place them into greased pans to rise more.&nbsp; Cover them with the greased wax paper and towel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once they are nearly double, (you want to leave a little for them to rise once in the oven but not too much) bake them in a 375 degree oven until browned and done.&nbsp; With loaves this is about 40 minutes maybe less, with rolls about 20.&nbsp; Just keep watching them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can tell they&#8217;re done if you thump the loaf and it sounds solid and not mushy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"http:\/\/countryticity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Fresh-Baked-Bread-Background-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Fresh-Baked-Bread-Background-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/countryticity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Fresh-Baked-Bread-Background-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/countryticity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Fresh-Baked-Bread-Background-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/countryticity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Fresh-Baked-Bread-Background.jpg 1250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>White Bread Recipe From My Sister 1\/4 cup very warm water + 1&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":272,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-331","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/331","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=331"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/331\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":339,"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/331\/revisions\/339"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/272"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/countryticity.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=331"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
