Carmel Corn

2 Sticks Margarine or Butter

1/2 Cup White Corn Syrup

2 Cups Brown Sugar

1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Soda

6 qts. Popped Popcorn

Bring margarine, syrup and sugar to boil for 6 minutes or till soft ball stage on a candy thermometer. Take off heat and add cream of tartar, salt and soda. Stir quickly and pour over popcorn. Bake for 1 hour in 200* oven.

(I like to take out every 20 minutes and stir well, this helps distribute the carmel glaze more evenly over the popcorn.)
