Mom’s Pizza
Crust for Pizza
2 c warm water
1 tsp salt.
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp yeast
Put water in large bowl. Add salt, sugar, yeast and oil- stir till dissolved, then add enough flour to make a soft dough (not sticky). Leave in bowl to rise slightly.
Filling
1 pkg. pork sausage
1 26 oz. can Hunts Four Cheese Spaghetti sauce.
½ onion
Oregano and Basil or Italian Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper to taste
Cook sausage and drain fat. Simmer ½ chopped onion with sausage until tender, over low heat. Add 1 can Hunts Four cheese spaghetti sauce and seasonings, stir. Turn off heat.
Divide dough into three equal helpings and spread into oiled cookie sheets to edges. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese in a 1” ring about 1’ from edge all the way around the crust. Place sauce in spoonfuls in crust center and spread out to just touch cheese ring.
Toppings:
Mozzarella cheese, Chopped Onion, Green Peppers, Pepperoni Slices, etc. Top with chopped onion, peppers or any other toppings you want. Top that with cheese.
Bake at 450* about 15 minutes or till golden and cheese just starting to brown.
